The old pictures have faded, the yellow letters torn

But memories in living color don't need to be restored

And your tender voice at evening Still rings within my ear

And your love has stood the test of time After all these years

 

A living legacy, precious gifts of love you've given me

Your thoughtful ways of caring I'm still remembering

Sacrifices big and small, the way you've help me be

I'm so grateful for this living legacy

 

Now my little children play around my busy feet

But I must slow down so I don't drown out what they really need

Let the seeds I plant inside their hearts soon blossom and grow

Into things of priceless value When their finally on their own
